In May 2025, I was engaged by Destini Berhad, a Malaysian company specializing in engineering solutions across defense, energy, and transport.
My assignment was to create professional corporate photography for the company’s Board of Directors and key management team.
Preparing for Executive Portraits
The challenge was clear: I had only about 10 minutes per person, and each individual required around five different poses. To make the process smooth, I carried out a site visit beforehand and met with the person in charge. Together, we developed posing guidelines, so every director and executive came in prepared.

For this assignment, I kept the setup simple yet professional:
White background for a timeless and clean look
Studio lights positioned for flattering illumination
Adjustments for both full body and half-body corporate headshots
This approach delivered consistency across all the portraits, perfect for use in annual reports, corporate websites, and investor presentations. It’s a setup I often use for corporate headshots in Kuala Lumpur, where companies require both efficiency and quality.
Balancing Time & Quality
When photographing CEOs and management teams, you need a balance between speed and detail. The 10-minute time slot per person was tight, but because of preparation, rapport-building, and the clear posing guide, each director looked comfortable and confident.
In post-production, I refined the images with contrast, brightness, and color correction. Subtle skin smoothing and lip brightening made sure the final results were polished while still looking natural.
