Q: Do you publish fixed prices?
A: We publish indicative ranges for budgeting. Final pricing is issued in a written quotation after scope and deliverables are confirmed.
Q: How do deposits and retainers work?
A: A retainer secures the booking - amount is set on a case-by-case basis and applied toward the total fee. Retainer terms and refund conditions are stated in the quotation.
Q: What payment and invoicing terms are available for corporate clients?
A: Corporate invoicing with 30-day payment terms is available on approval and with PO. Multi-session discounts may be offered upon discussion. Most corporate bookings include one complimentary site visit.
Turnaround - Delivery - Rush Options
Q: What is the standard delivery time?
A: Final edited photos are delivered within 7 working days after full payment. Delivery is via Google Drive.
Q: Do you offer faster turnaround for events?
A: Event highlights can be delivered in 1 working day if payment has been settled.

Q: How long do delivery links and backups remain active?
A: Google Drive download links remain active for 14 days. Files are backed up off-site for 30 days before permanent deletion. Clients are responsible for long-term storage.
Retouching - Files - Formats
Q: What retouching is included?
A: Standard edits include exposure and colour correction, basic skin retouch and minor object removal. Advanced retouching or composites are available by request - please inquire for pricing.
Q: What file types and sizes are delivered?
A: Standard delivery is web-ready JPEGs - medium resolution enhanced photos with the longest side at 2000px. TIFF or RAW exports and specific resolution requests are available on request and will be quoted.
Licensing - Copyright - RAW vs raw
Q: Who owns the photos and what usage rights do I get?
A: Copyright remains with Hafiz Ismail of Hafiz Ismail Photography. Clients receive a licence for corporate use as specified in the quotation - website, social media and corporate marketing. Transfer of copyright is available for purchase and will be agreed in writing.
Q: Can the photographer use the photos for portfolio or marketing?
A: Yes - unless a confidentiality agreement or explicit restriction is negotiated, the Photographer retains the right to use selected images for portfolio, website and social media.
Q: What is the difference between "RAW" and "raw"?
A: "RAW" (uppercase) refers to the camera's proprietary uncompressed sensor file format - examples include .CR2, .NEF, .ARW and other manufacturer RAW files. These are the highest-quality original files and are available for purchase under our Transfer of Copyright clause - standard RAW transfer fee RM3,000.
"raw" (lowercase) is an informal term often used to mean "unedited" or "unedited JPEGs." In client conversations "raw" may refer to high-resolution files that have not received final creative retouching. Our standard delivery is web-ready JPEGs (2000px on the longest side) with basic enhancements applied. If you require true RAW originals or explicitly unedited files, request this in the quotation and confirm RAW transfer terms.
Q: How do I get exclusive or commercial usage?
A: Exclusive or expanded commercial licences and copyright transfer are available at additional cost. Specify intended usage in your brief so we can include the correct licence in the quotation.
Reshoots - Re-edits - Refunds
Q: What is your reshoot and refund policy?
A: Video revision allowance is 2x where applicable. Reshoots for technical faults will be assessed under the agreement. The Photographer does not grant refunds for purchased photos/videos. If delivered materials arrive damaged, the Photographer will replace the damaged materials. Full terms are in the quotation - including the limitation of liability clauses.
Q: What are the Photographer’s liability limits?
A: If the Photographer cannot complete the assignment due to injury, illness or events outside reasonable control, the Client’s sole remedy is return of payments made minus work performed. The Photographer’s liability will not exceed the value of the Agreement.
Travel - Location - On-site Days
Q: Are travel costs included?
A: Travel is excluded from quoted fees. Local travel within 30km is RM50 per way. Travel beyond that is quoted per job based on distance and logistics.
Q: Do you run high-volume team headshot days?
A: Yes - we deliver efficient on-site headshot days with bulk pricing and corporate invoicing. A complimentary site visit is included for planning most corporate events.
Preparation - On the Day
Q: What should participants bring and how should they prepare?
A: We provide a preparation checklist prior to the shoot. Typical recommendations - bring two outfit changes, choose solid-colour tops, have garments pressed, and minimise large logos and heavy jewellery. Bring a spare shirt.
Q: Do you provide make-up or styling services?
A: Make-up and styling are available as add-ons and quoted separately.
