How Much Does Corporate Headshot Photography Cost?

Professional corporate headshot photography at Images by Hafiz starts at RM950 for a one-hour individual session, including 20 high-resolution images.

For companies requiring multiple employees to be photographed, half-day sessions cost RM3,500 and full-day assignments cost RM5,500.

The final quotation depends on the number of people, photography requirements, scheduling and additional services.

After 20 years of photographing corporate executives, business owners and management teams, I've learned that planning makes a significant difference to the outcome of a corporate photography assignment.

Here's how my pricing works.

Corporate Headshot Photography Prices in Malaysia

My Corporate Headshot Rate
Package Duration Capacity Rate
Personal Headshot 1 hour 1 person RM 950
Half-day up to 4 hours Max 10 people RM 3500
Full Day up to 8 hours Max 30 people RM 5500

Individual sessions exclude studio rental (RM100) or travel to the client's location (RM100). Half-day and full-day packages exclude travel expenses.

For corporate group assignments, the number of edited photographs delivered is determined by the agreed project brief.

As a general guideline, I plan around three poses per person - left-facing, right-facing and centre-facing.

These are starting points for planning the photography session, not a fixed number of final images.

Every company has different requirements, and I prefer to discuss the brief before finalising a quotation.

What Is Included in Corporate Headshot Photography?

Why Does the Number of Employees Affect the Price?

One question I've received from potential clients is:

"Can you photograph 30 people in two hours?"

Technically, taking 30 photographs in two hours is possible.

But producing professional corporate portraits for 30 different individuals is another matter.

Each person has different facial features, expressions and levels of confidence in front of the camera.

Some executives are comfortable immediately. Others require more guidance.

My usual approach is to photograph each person in approximately three different poses - left, right and centre.

I guide them through their posture, head position and expressions to achieve a professional result.

For my regular workflow, I recommend photographing a maximum of 10 people during a half-day session or 30 people during a full-day assignment.

The objective is to give everyone sufficient attention without rushing through the session.

Should You Photograph Employees at the Office or in a Studio?

For corporate assignments, I usually recommend photographing employees at their workplace.

The biggest advantage is convenience.

Think about asking 20 executives to leave the office, travel to a photography studio, wait for their turn and return to work.

Instead, I can bring my mobile studio setup to your office.

With professional lighting and a suitable background, I can produce consistent corporate portraits without requiring employees to travel.

Employees can return to their work immediately after their photography session.

This arrangement works particularly well for companies with busy management teams.

Real Corporate Photography Assignments

The Coffee Bean and Teal Leaf Malaysia Management Team

During my corporate photography assignment for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia, I photographed department heads, senior management and their teams.

The assignment involved individual headshots, management portraits and departmental group photographs.

We prepared a photography timetable before the assignment, with a makeup team assisting throughout the day.

The coordination helped the photography session run smoothly, even when we needed to accommodate changes to participants' availability.

Destini Berhad - Board of Directors Photography

Destini Berhad Board of Directors

For my assignment with Destini Berhad, I had approximately 10 minutes to photograph each director and executive.

Ten minutes might sound like a very short time.

But with proper preparation, an organised lighting setup and clear posing guidelines, we could work efficiently.

Before the assignment, I conducted a site visit, discussed the photography requirements and prepared posing references.

The preparation helped me maintain consistency across the portraits.

Corporate Photography for Law Firms

Rahmat, Wan & Rahmat Advocates & Solicitors

I've photographed several Malaysian law firms requiring partner portraits, individual lawyer headshots and group photographs.

Consistency matters for a law firm's professional image.

You don't want different partners appearing on the same company website with completely different lighting, backgrounds and photographic styles.

A planned corporate photography session helps create a consistent appearance across the firm's website, LinkedIn profiles and marketing materials.

Why Do Professional Corporate Photographers Charge Different Rates?

I've encountered plenty of clients comparing my quotation with another photographer offering significantly cheaper rates.

And that's perfectly fine.

There will always be photographers who charge less.

I don't compete purely on price.

After 20 years in the photography business, I believe clients are paying for more than the number of photographs delivered.

They're paying for experience, preparation, efficiency and consistency.

For larger assignments, my work begin before the photography day.

A pre-production discussion, office visit, storyboard or posing guide can help everyone arrive prepared.

During the photography session, I need to manage the lighting, guide each person and work within the company's schedule.

My objective is to make the entire photography process comfortable and efficient for the client.

If another photographer offers a package that suits your budget and requirements, I respect that decision.

My responsibility is to explain what I offer and deliver the quality of work my clients expect.
